During 2006, God brought us to the place where we felt dissatisfied with the ways that we had served the Lord in the past. Each of us had ministered in one way or another whether it was teaching, leading music or working with children. In spite of those years, we felt like there was more and we wanted to know what it was. Specifically we were being confronted with the fact that although we served the Body of Christ, we were doing nothing to reach out to the community and share our faith. Like many Christians today, we felt that outreach was better left to those that were anointed with the gift of evangelism. God though would not allow us to continue in that mindset. He began to teach us that to truly make a difference in our community, we would need to relearn Kingdom principles.

The first principle that guides and establishes all activity and purpose should be LOVE. He reminded us that Jesus showed His disciples the level of love that would be required to really open doors to reach people’s hearts. This love does not strive to grow a church or ministry. It does not try to add to its group so one can feel energized by a larger audience. Instead this love has no agenda. Its motivation is pure. It strictly looks for needs and steps out to fill them.

In 2008, in a local church building, we began a ministry called MasterKey Ministries. The idea is that our Master, Jesus, holds the key chain to all of life. With the right key, all doors of opportunity leading to life can be opened. In September of 2009, we moved to our current location.

The ministry has become a place in which parents and children can come and find the help that they need. Whether it is educational help, parenting skills, answering their questions or finding the resources that can help, MasterKey Ministries has become a wonderful avenue to express the hands and feet of Jesus.
